Siendo el luchador que protagonizó en 2022 la mayor cantidad de luchas de calidad junto a Will Ospreay —aunque sobre escenarios aún más variados que el británico—, y habiéndose quedado a las puertas de conseguir el trofeo el pasado enero, era un acto de justicia que Mike Bailey se alzara ganador este 2023 del Battle Of Los Angeles de Pro Wrestling Guerrilla.
Bailey, eso sí, tuvo el «privilegio» de entrar directamente en la contienda durante la segunda jornada de la misma. Y entrecomillo la palabra privilegio, pues Bailey acabó disputando cuatro combates, con victorias sobre Jordynne Grace (primera ronda), Shun Skywalker (segunda ronda), Bryan Keith (semifinal) y Konosuke Takeshita en la final.
«Speedball», quien quiso expresar micro en mano que el triunfo le pertenecía tanto a Takeshita como a él, compartió un cálido mensaje de agradecimiento vía Twitter.

Como recogió mi compañero de SUPERLUCHAS Jonie Lucha, Chris Jericho quiso robarse los focos anoche con su implicación, la primera en la escena independiente desde 1999, cuando formó parte del show benéfico Curtis Comes Home, donde enfrentó a Terry Taylor.
Seguidamente, los resultados completos de la segunda y última jornada del torneo Battle Of Los Angeles de PWG, celebrado desde el Globe Theatre de Los Angeles (California).
