Viene este autor exponiendo cómo en los últimos meses Dark: Elevation ha quedado relegado a un plano muy secundario respecto a Dark, el segundo show de mayor longevidad en la historia de AEW. Porque además de ser este plataforma de ROH, también ofrece exposición al Campeonato del Atlántico.
Insertado sobre los episodios de Dark del 12 y 26 de julio, PAC defendió dicha presea ante Shota Umino y LJ Cleary, respectivamente; dos notables luchas muy alejadas de la tónica habitual del programa por su duración y relevancia. Y una semana después de la última, “The Bastard” ocupó ayer de nuevo el estelar de Dark con una defensa, en esta ocasión acaecida durante el evento Summer Sizzler de RevPro, el pasado 23 de julio.
Su rival, otro joven talento británico, Connor Mills, salido de la escuela de PROGRESS, quien consiguió la oportunidad minutos antes en esa misma velada, al derrotar a Robbie X, Ricky Knight Jr., Callum Newman, Man Like DeReiss y Will Kross bajo un “Six Way Scramble”. Por supuesto, defensa de calidad, con aparición incluida de Kip Sabian, posible futuro contendiente.
Aparte del “main event”, hubo cierta promoción para el debut de Parker Boudreaux, acompañado de Ari Daivari y Slim J. Serpentico sirvió de meritoria víctima.
