Notas del WO: ¿Mick Foley dentro o fuera?, ¿AAA como WCW?, ¿TNA como WCW?

Estas son algunas de las ideas que el Newsletter del Wrestling Observer comenta en su más reciente edición, es curioso que en dos de ellas es recordada la WCW:

  • Hoy podríamos saber si Mick Foley continúa en la WWE: Si aparece en el SummerSlam, seguramente continuará, si no lo vemos en escena, debe ser porque ya no se logró un acuerdo.
  • La AAA es comparada en su situación interna, con la que existió en WCW previo a la desaparición de la empresa: Rivalidades entre los luchadores, rumores de adicciones a sustancias, quejas sobre sus pagos, quejas sobre la programación de carteles y poca oportunidad a nuevos talentos.
  • El motivo central se insinúa que es la ausencia de Antonio Peña (qepd), quien contaba con una mejor relación con el roster que la que en la actualidad tiene Joaquín Roldan, que muestra favoritismo y actitudes contradictorias, como el caso de la salida-regreso de Abismo Negro.
  • En TNA se planea revivir una story-line usada en los años 90 por WCW, donde los veteranos enfrentaban a la nueva generación de talentos. Los veteranos estarían claramente definidos por Kevin Nash, Booker T, Kurt Angle y Team 3D, pero la nueva generación no es del todo clara, con excepción de Samoa Joe y AJ Styles.

Como dato adicional, la vieja historia de WCW, lanzada en el 2000 por Vince Russo con el título «New Blood» para los jóvenes, y «Millionaires Club«, para el talento veterano (que recibía altos sueldos), tuvo cierto éxito inicial, pero rápidamente decayó, al punto de que fue una de las ultimas historias escritas por Russo antes de ser despedido de la empresa.

  2. Ah caray,yo pensaba que esa historia de la sangre nueva se había tratado de colocar en la ECW cuando aparecía Elijah Burke con su nueva raza.

  9. lo que me impresiona es que los veteranos sean kevin nash,booker t,sting,tean 3d y team 3d.
    y por la sangre nueva seria samoa joe,aj styles,mcmg y la liga d la justicia.

  10. AAA y TNA son unos reflejos de WCW pero cuando estaban en diferentes atapas por cierto es posible que beer money se agrege al grupo de los jovenes

  13. empiezan a las 7 pm hora del DF y puedes buscar en channel surfing o en justin hay varios links busca en la seccion de deportes

  14. nunca se parecera a la wcw aunque le copien todo, y aguas al rato le copean la venta de la empresa a la wwe tal y como sucedio con wcw aguas, despues que no se diga que no se advirtio y no esten llorando despues.

  19. Pues durante mucho tiempo mucha gente ha dicho que TNA es una copia de WWE, pero TNA es una version extraña de la WCW con un ligero toque de ECW ORIGINAL, solo esperemos que no la compre Vince pues muchos talentos de la WCW y ECW fueron tratados como basura por Vince y muy pocos brillaron.

    Originalmente los planes de la WWE eran de que Mick Foley interviniera en el Hell in a Cell de hoy, esto conmemorando el decimo aniversario de la tan famosa Hell in a Cell Match en la cual se enfrentaron Undertaker vs Mankind en Summerslam 1998.

    Sin embargo, durante la semana los escritores le indicaron a Foley que los planes habian cambiado y Foley ya no seria utilizado en Summerslam, ademas de que el angulo de lesion en Smackdown fue realizado para sacar a Foley como personaje del programa, lo cual puede dar a entender que este no regresara a la WWE.

    AAA is in the situation they are in because the people who make the decisions are treating the company as if it’s an American or Puerto Rican promotion. They have no concept of what works in Mexico and what has worked for AAA for 16 years now. They draw full houses for the TV Tapings headlined by Elegido, Gronda and Parka but totally turn the blind eye and wonder what ROH guys they can bring in for Verano De Escandalo where Gronda and Elegido probably won’t even get booked. Does that make sense to anyone on any level? Or how about why a guy like Billy Boy is stuck working opening matches when he is a) talented and b) one of the most over wrestlers in the company? Is his problem that he was born in Mexico? The guy has done everything he can to show he is a good wrestler and to win the fans over and his reward is working below El Angel and Argenis, two guys with the same gimmick that nobody cares about. But hey… let’s go try to sign an ROH guy and make sure he gets in a big match at Verano De Escandalo where nobody will know his name and he’ll never show up again. How is Bryan Danielson doing anyways? Even more… you have the Mexican Powers, La Hermandad and La Familia. Three groups that can’t work with anyone except themselves and take up spots on the card that could be used much better. My suggestion: TJ Xtreme, Nicho and X-Fly = bye bye. Crazzy Boy, Ultimo Gladiador and Extreme Tiger = new Mexican Powers. Halloween, Joe Lider and Toxico (with a new gimmick) = new rudo group that can come up with their own name. If you need a third team to feud with them you have Jack Evans, Teddy Hart and Super Fly (who turns rudo) as the new Legion team. But the biggest problem is with the top of the card… Vampiro is boring. Nobody cares about his return. It’s always been like that. He shows up, gets a huge reaction and then nobody cares after a few weeks. He is useless and needs to finish the feud with Mesias at Verano and go away so someone younger can take his spot on the top of the card. Then you have Konnan who can’t move when he’s in the ring but somehow is still a top guy in every main event. Then you have Cibernetico who the fans want to see beat Mesias and win the feud. Winning the title at Rey De Reyes meant nothing because TITLES MEAN NOTHING IN MEXICO. The AAA bookers need to realize that and stop pretending they are booking an American/Puerto Rican promotion. The fans want to see Ciber take Mesias’ hair… that’s the only way their feud can ever end. That should be the Guerra De Titanes main event, end of story.

    AAA could be a much better promotion if:

    1) those in charge started taking lessons on how to book cards for Mexicans. When you draw full houses in Mexico, you should probably focus on THOSE fans and not the half-houses you draw in America.

    2) those in charge stopped messing with bringing in new foreigners all the time. Make your roster of 60-70 people and focus on getting every single person over and not worrying about ‘luchador sorpresa’ Bryan Danielson/Bobby Lashley/Rikishi/Scott Steiner/insert any other name that means nothing to the attendance.

    3) those in charge began creating new feuds. Konnan vs Parka? Why not have Konnan recruit Super Fly and Parka take Aero Star under his wing? Why are the Mexican Powers always feuding with the other hardcore group around at the time? Why not have the Mexican Powers feuding with the Legion? If Apache and Billy Boy are friends now, why not have them form a friendship with Chessman, Alebrije and Charly Manson as a group that have been in AAA for 10 years now and want to defend it’s honor? Why should Billy and Apache only feud with themselves? What about the Psycho Circus? You spent so much time building them up as monsters and they are still wrestling in midcard matches. Why not have the Psycho Circus feuding with the Legion? Does nobody in the Legion want to job?

    4) those in charge need to keep the undercards fresh with new talent, the mini’s division strong and the women doing their own feuds rather than mixing with the guys. If you can make all three of those happen – you already have half your shows filled and just have to focus on the top 3 matches.

    AAA is still drawing good crowds and is still miles ahead of CMLL in every department but there is a definite sign that things could be heading in a WCW-esque direction down the road if things don’t change. Someone like KONNAN should realize this since he lived through the WCW days. But I fear Konnan himself is one of the biggest problems since he is just concerned with turning AAA into an international company so that he can acheive the stardom in America that he never got with WCW and feel he is rightfully owed.

    But the one thing that needs to be changed right away – the people in charge. You need people who understand MEXICO, not people who think they understand WRESTLING and think wrestling is the same everywhere.

  38. bueno concuerdo con todos si definitavemente en eso si puede ser comparada con la wcw la triplea pero en cuanto a calidad de luchas es mejor tna porque casi todos sus luchadores son veteranos de la wcw incluyo a sting kevin nash jeff jarret booker t raven por mencionar a algunos bueno espero que ya saquen a russo de tna y pongan en la triplea mejor a cualquier guia porque joaquin roldan de plano la esta cagando en todo tener a un bulto como campeon tener como rudo principla a una basofia como konan tener idolos de papel elegido parka charly manson alan stone esos se sabe que no saben luchar asi como el porki puro circo es ahi tener de segunda mano a estrellas que merecen estar en estelares abismo negro rey cometa jack evans teddy hart dark ozz aero star la familia de tijuana deberian de desaparecer esas facciones absurdas para que mejor compitan en individuales

  44. cada quien da su punto de vista y a veces hay uno que crea la polemica pero a la vez hace un comentario interesante que en esta ocasion es Rob, pero como esta en ingles por la uevonad ndie lo pela, asi que con su permiso, hay les va la traduccion, vale la pena.

  48. He, no habia checado eso 😀 , pero creo que el tema principal es el mismo, si la aaa quiere sobrevivir necesita cambiar muchas cosas que dudo que las haga, o bien al principio con la «salida» peña, hubo un tiempo en que las cosas no fueron tan malas, pero ahora están de regreso.

  49. en primera la triplea yo no creo que vaya a desaparecer lo dudo en primera la triplea le da muchas mas importancia a los minis lo que el cmll no hace ,quiere enfocar nuevas modalides lo que el cmll no hace tampoco hace , ademas a mi me gustaria que hubieran mas pesos completos en triplea para que vean a ver si los luchadores del cmll puedan contra ellos porque eso les hace falta ala lucha mexicana casi no hay pesos completos lo que a la triplea le haria una buena falta y espero que hora luchen pesos inferiores contra completos en mano a mano parA QUE LES DEN experiencia a los pesos medios y welter y asi emigren a la wwe

En lo personal creo que la Triple A considera a sus estrellas como la vida misma ya que la mayoria de ellos o son drogadictos ejemplos (Abismo Negro, Konan, La Parka, Cibernetico y su proveedor el Zorro) si lo desmienten entonces que se hagan el antidoping, esto crea un pesimo ambiente entre los demas ya que la prepotencia es evidente ante la falta total de disciplina de los Roldan que son pesimos, estos deberian dejar la Empresa ya que son nefastos

Me cae que da gusto leer opiniones de gente que si sabe de lo que esta hablando, en cuanto a AAA no va a desaparecer mientras siga teniendo reiting, que mas le da a Roldan saber de calidad, de lucha o simplemente de logica, cuando hay gente que sige pagando por un asiento para ver sus funciones cuando casi pueden narrar toda la funcion antes de que comienze.
