Este fin de semana puede resultar histórico para la WWE. Estos síntomas comienzan a percibirse con la celebración, este sábado, de NXT Takeover: War Games.
En un principio, este evento era conocido como NXT Takeover: Houston, pero la dirección ha cambiado. La razón es precisamente histórica. Y es que, por primera vez en 17 años, se celebrará un combate estilo War Games.
Dicho combate enfrentará a The Authors of Pain, acompañados por Roderick Strong; contra Sanity (Alexander Wolfe; Eric Young y Killian Dain) y The Undisputed Era (trío formado por Adam Cole; Bobby Fish y Kyle O´Reilly). Una batalla en toda regla que ha suscitado mucha expectación dentro del Universo WWE.
Además, Drew McIntyre defenderá el Campeonato de NXT frente a Andrade Cien Almas. Por otro lado, debemos prestar atención al Fatal 4-Way entre Ember Moon, Peyton Royce, Nikki Cross y Kairi Sane; una de esas mujeres será la nueva Campeona Femenil de NXT.
Sin embargo, el tema que aquí nos atañe es la música. Y en eventos de guerra, se necesitan temas que inciten a ello. Los temas en cuestión son «Executioner´s Tax (Swing of the Axe)» de Power Trip y «Play», de Marmozets.
«Executioner´s Tax (Swing of the Axe)» – Power Trip
En primer lugar, comenzamos con este tema, interpretado por la banda de metal Power Trip. Este grupo nació en 2008; año en el que sacaron su primera demo.
Desde ese momento, dos álbumes les avalan como uno de los grupos de metal más prometedores del año. “Executioner´s Tax (Swing of the Axe)» pertenece al último de ellos, Nightmare Logic, lanzado este 2017.
Esta es la primera colaboración de Power Trip con la WWE.

«Play» – Marmozets
Quizá debido al tour del roster principal por Europa, la directiva de la WWE ha decidido utilizar el tema de un grupo británico para War Games. Se trata de Marmozets, banda de rock alternativo, surgida en Bingley, en la ciudad de West Yorkshire (Inglaterra).
Este grupo se fundó en el año 2007, cuando los hermanos Becca y Sam McIntyre (voz y guitarra principal, respectivamente) comenzaron a realizar conciertos en institutos. Tres miembros más se unirían conforme a los años.
Desde ese momento, tres discos y la participación en eventos como el Download Festival les avalan. «Play» pertenece a su último trabajo, Knowing what you know, que salió a la venta en agosto de este año. Esta es la primera colaboración de Marmozets con WWE.
